How to format your Essay on Media?
Many of the essays whether it is a media essay or any other has to be formatted. The best way to format your essay is the APA (American Psychological Association) format. It can a very discouraging at times when the student is fresh or do not know how work on the format. There is some guidance and instructions given to the student by the teachers. The following instructions will help you to make your media essay in APA style:
• The first way to start formatting your essay is to set the margins in your Microsoft Office. If you are working on Microsoft Office 2003 then the prescribed margin would be 1.25 and you will have to set the margin up to 1 on both sides.
• The second step you have to take is to double space your essay. You can go to the line spacing menu and make your essay double spaced from it. You can do this before you have started your work or even if you are done with your essay, then highlight the whole document and make it double spaced from the line spacing option. Avoid giving anymore spaces in or in between the paragraphs.
• After double spacing, go to the view and choose the option of the header and footer and an outline of dotted line will appear. Type the title of your media essay and the page number along with it. The title and page number should be aligned to the top left side of the paper. The header should be in every pages of your essay.
• The basic information about the essay and the student must be entered in the front page of the document. It should be having the title of the essay, the student and the college name. The course title should also be there along with the instructor's name and the current date of the essay.
• All the references should be cited under the APA style. You can select the APA style in the references menu of your Microsoft Office. When you are finish with your media essay, give a bibliography of all the references you have used in your media essay.
